Event Recap: M-19-21 Mission Accomplished?

Government agencies are not quite there yet. Even so, said Arian Ravanbakhsh with NARA, “the mandate has caused a big push through…moving the goal post forward.” The new June 30, 2024 extension has not been signed yet, but NARA announced that it will continue to accept paper records from federal agencies until that time. During this Dec. 15th webinar, a panelist and number of expert speakers covered a range of topics, including how:

• to strategically focus our efforts over the next 18 months;
• to address the metadata portion of the mandate;
• to manage dynamic online data, such as content on websites, social media and text/IM; and
• after the mandate is met by agencies, where the data goes, and how it’s managed and made searchable.
