Government agency participants were asked key polling questions about their current DevSecOps state. What was revealed was that the majority of those on the call have implemented DevSecOps at the enterprise level within their own agencies. The top challenge identified in implementing DevSecOps is lack of cross-functional collaboration or silos, and when asked how prepared their organizations are to adapt emerging technologies, most indicated they were actively evolving roadmaps and strategy. These results were no surprise to Rosana R. Stoica, PhD, with the U.S. District Courts who adds that “in reality, we need new ways of looking into problems, especially with the rise of AI.” She continues, “we have a unique window of opportunity to innovate our ecosystems to a systems viewpoint. . .and must explore challenges together.”

During this one-hour workshop, Dr. Stoica emphasizes the need to focus on outcomes and communications rather than tools and processes. Additionally, she offers a content-rich presentation with a number of recommendations on subjects, such as:

  • Evolution of DevSecOps
  • Opportunities to leverage and deliver innovation across software development life-cycle (e.g., Generative Design, Superapps, AutoML, ML-Powered Coding Tools)
  • Emerging tech impact radar for DevSecOps
  • DevSecOps trend profiles for the next six years
  • API security testing
  • Application security posture management
  • Cloud-native application protection platforms
  • Software supply chain security
  • “QuantumAIOps” – The era of Quantum ML “QML”
  • Best practices of top performing DevSecOps companies
